I am not a mom.
Some of my favorite blogs are written by moms, but I am not one of them.
I have, however, played the part of mom #2 in the life of my baby brother, Justin, for the last 18 years. I changed his diapers and fed him and helped him with his homework and his FAFSA and felt heartbroken when he broke up with his girlfriend and then offered to hit her with my car. It's the closest I've ever been to knowing what it's like to love a person unconditionally and want to protect him no matter the cost.
4 years ago, Justin and his friends attended their 8th grade dance looking like they knew how to party.
Yesterday, they graduated from high school. Please enjoy the photos. And feel free to contact me if you'd like to contribute to this young man's education in civil engineering at CU-Boulder. He's the best kind of person and I am prouder than proud of all he's accomplished.

What's a graduation party without some 2012 Kanye shades?
And a personalized parrot beach banner?
And a friendly game of bouncy bungee basketball?
I love you, Geebs, and am glad you're my brother. You're cooler than a polar bear sippin' a milkshake.
