Bake Sale Countdown: 1 More Week!

"Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him."

- Maya Angelou

Well folks, we're down to only 1 more week. I need another $185 to reach my Bucket List goal of raising $1000 in a school bake sale, and I totally believe I can do it - with your help, of course!

Each of the remaining baked goodies is now on sale, so if you're in Denver, Lakewood, Centennial, Philadelphia, Westchester County, or Portland, you should buy one of them. You will get a delicious treat, I will get closer to my goal of $1000 total, and a middle school kid who loves reading will get some new books.

You can also make a straight donation, if you're not interested in the baked goods. You can choose $10, $20, $25, $50, $100, or $500

Also, fun fact: The Kitchen Denver has offered to feed the kiddos lunch on our way to the book store. As if anyone needed another reason to love The Kitchen.

As the day of the book shopping field trip approaches, I'm growing increasingly excited to take the kids. I believe there is such power in reading books, especially during adolescence, that I just can't wait to share it with them in this tangible, immediate way.

The countdown is on - will you help?
