Monday Music: Lincoln

Oh hi there.

It's Monday again and this time I am armed and ready with some absolutely beautiful new music. (My brilliant idea didn't really work out last week since none of you volunteered any suggestions. Slackers.)

Anyway.

I downloaded the soundtrack to the movie Lincoln over the weekend and I've already listened to it four times. It's that good.

What I didn't know before I researched it a bit is that it was composed by John Williams, whose stuff you have definitely heard. He scored the following:

Star Wars

Jaws

E.T.

Home Alone

Jurassic Park

Schindler's List

And the first three Harry Potter films

Also?

He's EIGHTY.

And still at it.

My favorite tracks so far are 'The People's House', 'Getting Out The Vote', and 'With Malice Toward None'. I cannot wait to see the movie, especially now that I've heard the music. If you enjoy songs without words, I would highly recommend picking this one up - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Happy Monday!
