Meet Me In St. Louis

Transient

Oh hey there.

It's Thursday and we're in Arkansas where we had a show last night. Today we head to OKC, then on to Tulsa, Kansas City, then HOME on Sunday for about a week. I can't wait!

We had the opportunity to act like tourists on Monday in St. Louis, and we took full advantage with a riverboat cruise and a ride to the top of the Gateway Arch. I had a blast.

This power plant was built just before the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. I've never actually seen  'Meet Me In St. Louis' , but now I think I have to.

The main attractions on the river cruise were the bridges. I've always been fascinated by bridges and the people who design and build them. I think they exemplify some of the best things about human ingenuity.

After we got off the boat, we went underground to board our pod and ride to the top of the Gateway Arch. They definitely don't warn you that it's a very very small space and that you might be with strangers and that it's not ventilated in there. But it only lasts a few minutes and then you're at the top.

And of course, how could we leave without taking a picture of tiny Tifah in my hand?

We got to stay with the parents of a friend of the band's that night, who fed us a delicious home-cooked meal and gave us comfy beds to sleep in and made a big pot of coffee before we woke up in the morning. It was a good couple of days off and I'm so thankful we got to spend them the way we did!
